🎨The Under-the-Radar AI Tool helping me Create Pro Visuals in Seconds

A tool particularly useful for us "non-creative" types

In partnership with

Working in the tech industry, I’ve always struggled with creating stylish diagrams for reports, documents, and presentations.

I just wasn’t blessed with a creative touch, so you can imagine how fast I jumped onto AI generated diagramming for my work.

Now everyone asks - did you make that?

Do I tell them?

Hello,

Thanks for joining me at AI for Work where I share tips, tricks, and tools on how to harness AI for your work life.

Today we’re discussing:

  • My process for creating outstanding visuals for reports and presentations

Let’s get into it.

The Secret Behind My Suddenly Professional Diagrams

Let me introduce Napkin AI - the free (for now) tool that has completely transformed how I create visuals for work. For someone who struggles with making even basic flowcharts look presentable, this tool has been nothing short of revolutionary.

When I say free for now, I mean that as of writing, Napkin.ai is currently in Beta and these legends have made all the pro plan features free.

How long will this last? Only they know.

How It Works (It's Ridiculously Simple)

  1. Describe what you want or paste existing text - Just something explaining the concept, process, or idea you need to visualize in plain text.

  2. Highlight the text and click the blue lightning bolt - Napkin AI interprets your text and generates a clean, professional diagram within seconds.

  3. Change the style and design - you’ll be presented with different designs. Once you choose one you can apply a pre-built style or tinker to create your own.

Why This Stands Out From Other Diagram Tools

Unlike tools that require you to drag, drop, align, and format everything manually, Napkin AI understands what you're trying to communicate and creates the visualization for you.

And the outputs aren't just functional - they're genuinely impressive, with consistent styling, thoughtful layouts, and visual hierarchy that makes information easy to grasp.

For me it’s the difference between half an hour designing something mediocre and producing something slick in a matter of seconds.

Real Example: From Text to Visual in 45 Seconds

I created a quick GIF to demonstrate the tool. This is a New Starter Onboarding document from a project I worked on a few years back.

I highlight everything, hit the blue lightning bolt and… that’s it.

The Bottom Line

Simply, this tool has given me a significant professional edge. We’re not producing elite level art but something that fits my use case perfectly.

Now I'm curious - would you tell your colleagues about using AI for your diagrams, or keep it as your productivity secret?

Would you tell people about your new AI diagramming superpower?

The first voice assistant, "Shoebox," was developed by IBM in 1961—nearly 50 years before Siri. It could recognize 16 spoken words and the digits 0-9, responding to voice commands through a small speaker.
